Not mor­ta­li­ty per se, but the count­less ways in which the „jour­ney“ to the Bey­ond is struc­tu­red, is the the­me of an exhi­bi­ti­on at the Muse­um of Cul­tures in Basel which I visi­ted last week.

On March 9, 1776, “An Inquiry into the natu­re and cau­se of the Wealth of Nati­ons” by Adam Smith was published. The book remains a key text of poli­ti­cal eco­no­my and is a fasci­na­ting read.
